Delta’s product licensing model is based on many years real-world experience
of working with large and distributed project teams. A flexible licensing server is used to support the
selected licensing model, including time-locked trial periods, node locked and
floating licenses. Site licenses are available for the shared product components
such as support for specific target platforms.
Product licenses are linked to each developer’s workstation using a software
key. This key is used to ensure that the terms of your license agreement are
respected. License keys are renewable on an annual basis.
The software key for a workstation can become invalid if major changes are
made to the installed hardware and/or software. In this situation you have a
grace period in which to obtain a new key. A temporary key can be obtained from
the Delta Web site here. The temporary key allows you to continue working for up
to 20 days while a permanent key is requested through the normal support channel.
The fundamental basis of Delta product licensing is that you are never left
in the position of suddenly being unable to work with a correctly licensed
product.
If you have any questions about product licensing please
contact your
local sales organisation. Alternatively you can contact us by email at
