Component Developer's & User's Forum (CDUF)

CDUF

What once has started as a meeting of the component insider now became an informational nerve centre for component users. It also can be considered as an important convention for critical discussions and reflections on old and new technologies.
This event is focussed on providing well-founded information regarding the usage of new technologies as well as their advantages or disadvantages.

The CDUF represents the ideal platform for exchanging information with renowned experts from industry, economy and research and development. Visitors can inform themselves about the latest trends and new products at an exhibition.
The CDUF 2001 took place from June 11th –13th at the Hotel Intercontinental in Frankfurt.
Rüdiger Schilling gave his lecture on the subject.

Integrative Development and Application Integration for Java, .Net and Co.

on Monday, 11th of June 2001.

Abstract:
"Components are for Composition – Components are for Reuse". But, neither re-usability emerges by itself, nor are components able to be composed and integrated at will by themselves. On the other hand, component architectures are, if they are used properly, the ideal base for integrating application systems. With it, the continuous integratability of the components has to be guaranteed because the software that we develop today is tomorrow's legacy and has to be integrated the day after tomorrow. The concept of "Generated Adaptive Frameworks" that will be presented in the lecture, aims the goal of integration-oriented programming.<br>
For a clearer illustration, the realisation of these concepts will be expounded in a Java environment as "Adaptive EJBs" and the corresponding solution as .Net
components.
