Initially developed at the end of the 1970's, the Delta/ADS™ application development tools have been evolving ever since. Delta/ADS made a reality the concept of programming independent from the specifics of hardware, TP software and databases.
Delta/ADS was originally developed for batch programming, with online programming being added in the early 1980s. In the late 1980s the Delta/DBI™ product introduced database independent access for both online and batch programs.
Using Delta/ADS and Delta/DBI™ our customers have developed a significant number of mission critical applications. Many of these applications are productive for decades. It is not unusual for large Delta customers to have 20,000+ programs in production, all of which have been developed using Delta tools.
The cross platform nature of Delta/ADS and Delta/DBI has enabled our customers to migrate their software from one platform to another over the years, keeping in pace with the changing environment and technology.
Our product development is aimed on continuously providing you with the most current development techniques. We supply you with innovative tools that help you to keep your systems up to date with the latest in technology and to adapt your applications to new tendencies and paradigms. Our tools guarantee your independence of any kind of hardware and third-party providers.
ADSplus builds on the proven technology of Delta/ADS and Delta/DBI, bringing significant parts of new paradigms and architectures such as object orientation and component technology to the classic Delta/ADS and Delta/DBI applications and users.
For a limited time a follow-on product to Delta/ADS and Delta/DBI was released under the name SCORE® Development Suite™. That product development was discontinued and the product functionality distributed between the product development projects that lead to the release of ADSplus and SCORE Adaptive Bridges.
