New Functions Give Even Better Overview

The new version 4.1 of our SCOUT² Development Environment is available with immediate effect. Building on the large number of enhancements introduced in release 4.0, this update version contains further new functions that give you even more possibilities to customise the user interface to meet your exact requirements.

The most important functions are:

  • Additional Options for Defining The Search Path – It is now possible to selectively include in the search path of a project the workspaces of any parent projects. In this way it is possible, for example, to quickly and easily create an isolated development and test environment without disrupting your running projects. With this new option it is no longer necessary to check in all of the required modules from their corresponding workspaces to be able to access them from the isolated development and test environment.
  • External Object Information – SCOUT² now offers the possibility to display and maintain information about objects that is obtained from outside SCOUT². This information is made available via so-called Extrinsic Values. Additional scripts make it quick and easy to include the information into your working environment in a reliable and consistent manner.
  • Project Cleanup – A clean and tidy work area improves productivity. The new cleanup function allows you to choose to selectively clean the workspaces when you open or close a project.

For more detailed information on these and further enhancements please see the release notes in our Support Area.

“Delta proposed a completely different scenario. They suggested producing with SCORE Data Architecture Integration one data service for each and every program, in a first step even for our old Unisys OS 2200 platform. Our applications would access the RDMS data on Unisys OS 2200 through these services only.
This also meant that we started our project with a modernization phase on the existing platform.”
